An Indian salad



The other day, I was talking with a friend and, most important subject of our debate was .. an Indian salad that he eats. I saw it and I was extremely surprised by its simplicity but also, the similarities between Romanian and Indian salad.At the end, I wasn't sure if, this salad belonged to the Indian or the universal cuisine but...my taste was satisfied enjoying that madness of flavors disclosed by that more 'crazy' garam masala.
Pick up some cucumber, tomatoes, raddish, carrots, wash them, peel them, chop them in the shape you like....Sprinkle some black pepper, salt, some garam masala....Some lime/lemon on top and some fresh cottage cheese.....and, that's all. No oil, no vinegar.



O SALATA INDIANA


Zilele trecute vorbeam cu un prieten si, cel mai important subiect al dezbaterii noastre a fost..salata indiana pe care el o maninca. Am vazut-o si am fost extrem de mirata de simplitatea ei dar si de asemanarea dintre salata romaneasca si cea indiana.
La final, nu eram sigura daca , salata asta apartinea bucatariei indiene sau celei universale dar, gustul meu a fost satisfacut, savurind toata nebunia de arome dezvaluite de acea si mai 'nebuna' garam masala.
Castraveti, rosii, ridichi si morcovi, spalate, curatate si taiate in forma dorita. Se presara cu sare, piper negru si ceva garam masala. Ceva lamiie/lime si brinza proaspata de vaca adaugata si...asta-i tot.
Nu ulei, nu otet.
